Due to about three weeks, the “do not remove” instructions on some SAS drives The light is on. Maybe after a power failure.
If we restart it, it will be displayed on the later screen:
Embedded RAID : Smart Array P440ar Controller – Configuration Required
- 1786-Slot 0 Drive Array Recovery Needed The following SAS/SATA drive(s)
need Automatic Data Recovery (Rebuild): Port 1I, box:6, bay: 4 (SAS)
The Smart Storage Administrator software displays the “Ready for Rebuild” status on our RAID5 array. We have two Array: a RAID1 with two disks (obviously) and a RAID5 with three disks. Error status of RAID5.
It will not show errors on any particular drive on the array.
It has been like this for several weeks. We tried to shut down the virtual server for a week in order to let the server “rest”, because I read somewhere that if there is too much load on the drive, the rebuild may not start. However, it also did not start from the virtual The server shuts down and begins.

My knowledge is not enough to read useful things.
Any help appreciated!
You should run a proper backup immediately, and then Try to turn off the hardware (drive slowing down) and start again. Observe the controller prompt and see if you restart the rebuild process.
Edit:
After reading the ADU report, there are three 300GB disks There are two hard read errors. URE is a possible situation. Power loss alone does not necessarily cause this situation. Is the system connected to a backup battery?
We have a ProLiant server with a Smart Array P440ar controller.

“Ready to rebuild” means that the reconstruction process is blocked. If it is on a RAID5 array, you may have a URE situation of failed disks and failed disks. The disk may have a read error and cannot be read reliably to complete the reconstruction of the failed disk.
You should run a proper backup immediately, and then try to shut down the hardware (the drive is slowed down) and start again. Observe the controller prompt and check whether to restart the reconstruction process.
