RAID set speed calculator

First of all, I will apologize if someone asks this question. I googled… and googled some, but I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for.

Anyone knows of a software or web-based calculator that allows you to insert a RAID configuration (such as the example below) and output the expected R/W speed, hopefully in MB.

Disk quantity, size, rotation, type, Raid type

EX. (8,73Gb,15k,SAS,Raid 1/0)

or

EX . (6,146Gb,10k,FC,Raid 5)

I found that the serious thing is to calculate the available space. Some provide some speed information, but they cannot be realistic because they will not rotate or enter consideration Factor.

I don’t know a calculator that can tell you, partly because in addition to disk and connection There are many other factors besides the type factor. RAID controllers are the same as the firmware on these controllers, the type of data and the ability of the motherboard to push data, which will make a huge difference. Your best choice is to benchmark yourself. I even Can’t think of a way to write a calculator to do that kind of thing. In addition, I believe that for most operations, the network will have a bottleneck before RAID.
