Server RAID is dead. How will you recover data from its drive?

We currently have 9 machines. One of them has an electrical fault and blows up the circuit board, but the drive seems to be okay. I’m not entirely sure that I will even try to recover data from it.
The drive In RAID 5, I am not sure if hot plugging the drive into another server will preserve its data, fire it, or not work at all.

Any comments will be helpful.

Before attempting any operation, I will insert the drive into the non-RAID controller and place it byte by byte ( For example, dump to other storage via dd). Then you can do whatever you want-you have a backup.
