WiFi – How to calculate IEEE 802.11 CRC-32 FCS?

This is from IEEE Std 802.11-2012 clause 8.2.4.8 FCS field:

I can’t understand the last two paragraphs:

> “The initial remainder of the division is preset to all”, what does this mean, and why do we need to do this?
>What does “…calculated field and serial input bit of FCS…” mean?

>Initialize the CRC to all 1s to avoid any length of zero string giving zero CRC Question.
>Read the Ross Williams CRC tutorial.
