Hadoop – How do I check if HDFS is running?

I want to see if Hadoop’s hdfs file system is working properly. I know that jps lists the running daemons, but I don’t actually know which daemons to look for. < p>

I ran the following command:
$HADOOP_PREFIX / sbin / hadoop-daemon.sh start namenode

$HADOOP_PREFIX / sbin / hadoop-daemon.sh start datanode< /p>

$HADOOP_PREFIX / sbin / yarn-daemon.sh start resourcemanager

$HADOOP_PREFIX / sbin / yarn-daemon.sh start nodemanager

It only appears when I enter jps namenode, resourcemanager and nodemanager.

In order for hdfs/Hadoop to run normally, which daemons should be run? Also, if hdfs is not running, what can you do to fix it?

Use any of the following methods to check the status of your debts

> The JPS command will list all active daemons
>The following is the most appropriate

hadoop dfsadmin -report

This will list the data nodes The details, this is basically any file that your HDFS> cat is available in the hdfs path.
