Compile and install MONO on CentOS – cannot pass ‘make’

The basic instructions for installing Mono are:

tar xzvf mono-X.XX.tar.gz; cd mono-X.XX
. /configure –prefix = /usr/local;make; make install

So I downloaded the latest version from htt

One of my dependencies does not use rebar-it uses Makefile. How can I make rebar run this Makefile instead of trying to compile the source itself?
