There is only 1 .as file in my actionscript project, and no code is written except for package, class, and main function statements. When I run the .html file, it runs fine and debugging is fine. However, when I change the source path When I switch to the .swf file, it runs normally, but it won’t debug!
When I debug it, the progress stays at 57%, and “Waiting for Adobe Flash Player to connect to the debugger…” is displayed in the “Progress” tab. A few minutes later, a window will pop up, above It says:
“The connection failed. The session has timed out. Please make sure that you have run the debugger and I have the debugger version of the flash player.”
What should I do? solve this problem? I am on an intel Mac running OS 10.6.5.
Thank you
I just completed the installation of Adobe Flash Builder 4. I must have installed the latest Flash player from the Adobe website to my On the computer. In addition, in the running configuration of Flash Builder 4, I changed the source path from the .html file to the generated .swf file. I don’t need to test it in a web browser, I just want to run it in the flash player swf.

You said you installed the latest Flash Player, but you Did not say that you meant to debug the player. “Flash Player 10.1 Plug-in Content Debugger” and “Flash Player 10.1 Projector Content Debugger” can be downloaded at http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
