Settings/Preferences(Mac) → Build, Execution, Deployment → Instant Run and uncheck Instant Run

This happens in Android Studio 2.0 or >. 2.1. As mentioned in this answer, you need to uncheck Instant Run.
Settings/Preferences(Mac) → Build, Execution, Deployment → Instant Run and uncheck Instant Run
