PowerDesigner Export Table to Word

First, template modification

When exporting the table, powerdesigner provides us with a lot of templates by default. Select [Report— >Report Template] to see all the default templates. Figure one:

Here we In order to export the table created in powerdesigner, select [Report—>Reports] (shortcut Ctrl+E) in the toolbar, and then create a New Report, as shown in Figure 2, select Standard Physical Report , The standard template selected here, click OK to confirm.

From the toolbar [Report—>Print Preview] or click Icon You can also preview the effect of exporting to Word. The effect is shown in Figure 3:

From [Figure 3] There are two export formats: HTM and RTF in the toolbar. If you export to word, you can choose RTF format, but we can see from [Figure 3] that the part marked in red, 1 is the header of word, there is also footer information, and 2 is a list of attributes.

In [Figure 4], after selecting Header/Footer , Delete %MODULE% %MODELNAME% in the Header, delete %APPNAME% %DATE% page number%PAGE% in Footer , User_defined footer will be automatically checked, so that the header and footer are removed

There are others, such as the self-increasing serial number in front of the table, the creator, version, and date information on the first page are not required, we can remove them by configuration , As follows [Figure 5] [Figure 6]

In Figure 5, check No paragraph numbering in the default configuration (General) to cancel the self-increasing serial number in front of the table, and select No Title Page in Title Page to not generate the creator of the first page , Version, date and other information.

In [Figure 3], the preview sees too much content, we must delete some of the content that we don’t need, after deletion, as shown in [Figure 6] below

In [Figure 6], right-click [List of Table Columns-Table <%PARENT%> column description ], select Edit Title… from the menu, you can edit it to what we have seen now. Then, select Layout… in the right-click menu and select the content we need to display. Code represents the column name, which is generally represented by English words or pinyin letters, Name is generally described in Chinese, Data Type represents the data type, and Comment represents the field remarks. Or field descriptions, etc.

So far, the modification of the powerdesigner template has been basically completed

2. Export table

Then click [Report—->Generate RTF ] Export to word, and finally we look at the effect of exporting to word, as shown below:

3. Save the template

Pass on Text, we have completed the template we need, and then save it, you can use it directly in the future, in the toolbar [Report—>Create Template From Section], and then Ctrl+S will ask to save, name and save That’s it.
