MacOS – IOS file system accessing Mac

I am trying to use the mac app DiskAid and found that it can do everything I need in the application I am writing. DiskAid seems to have full access to the file system on the iPad. This is not limited to Apps on the iPad share files-not a long shot. DiskAid looks at all files (sharers or others) for each app on the device. It is also not limited to files in the Documents directory of each app. It will all files Are regarded as the root level.

I was also surprised when I found out that iTunes does not even need to run for all this work. Also, I don’t remember having to authenticate in any way (Apple ID or something like that) I just plugged in the device via USB and left.

I have been searching for a few days and didn’t even find any hint that this is even possible. But we know it is.

Does anyone know how they solved this problem. By the way, my device is not jailbroken.

Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There is information on DigiDNA blog, they are using Apple mobile device service library, they say this is the driver of Apple device A Google search for the library took me to the Iphone Wiki website about the reverse engineered C header files needed to link to the library. Hope it will be useful.
