HP-ProLiant – HP ProLiant ML350P G8 Unable to start after installing new CPU

Our server: HP Proliant ml350p g8 is equipped with a single Xeon e5-2609 1.4Ghz processor.
Our manager wants to update a bit, so we checked 2x E5-2609V2 Processor… We ran it through HP Enterprise chat and said it was compatible.

We now have new CPUs, when we install them, our Health LED is red, and the server will not POST .
We have tried each new CPU individually, but the results were the same.
We thought maybe it was the BIOS (it was the date of 2012!).
Our server was out of warranty, so we initially Downloading the latest BIOS is not allowed, but our manager persuaded HP to provide us with the latest BIOS version (2015) that we have installed.
Trying the CPU again will produce the same result…The server still won’t POST

< p>It would be great if someone could shed some light on what we missed.

(We are getting a quote for an HP maintenance contract-because our warranty has expired for 30 days, we can’t get it Care package)

There is a special firmware update needed to allow the use of E5 in the system originally equipped with V1 CPU -2600V2 CPU.

You need to download it to a USB key and start the server from it to upgrade your platform.
