Enterprise Architecture Model (EAM) is PowerDesigner 15 The new function, which can display the corporate structure in a graphical manner, thereby replacing the text description; in a non-technical way of expression, different graphical results can be expressed from different levels.

The enterprise architecture model describes all aspects of the enterprise’s system architecture from the business layer, application layer, and technical layer, including the results and behaviors of business processes, business functions, systems, personnel, etc., to ensure that each unit can meet the enterprise’s requirements. Strategic development direction. The PowerDesigner enterprise architecture model includes 7 enterprise architecture flowcharts, which can be divided into the following 3 levels.

1. Business layer

  • Organization chart: show the organization in the form of a tree diagram structure.
  • Business communication diagram: used to analyze and show the relationships, processes, and connections between business elements.
  • Process diagram: It is used to represent the business structure that has nothing to do with personnel and organization, describe business functions and classify processes.
  • Urban planning map: used to provide a general map of the organizational structure.

2. Application layer

  • Application architecture diagram: show the advanced level of application architecture Views can be used to identify applications, components, databases, services and their relationships.
  • Service-oriented diagram: used to show the relationship between applications and SOA architecture business services.

3. Technical layer

Technical infrastructure diagram: The goal of the enterprise architecture model is to show users a general picture of the organization, and provide users with methods to refine functions, processes, and systems. The enterprise architecture model includes the function of importing/exporting other PowerDesigner modules.

4.7 The flow chart of enterprise architecture is as follows:

Organization chart:

(1) Select the File->New Model command, the window shown in Figure 1-1 will pop up, and select the enterprise architecture model in the model type on the left. Enter the model name on the right, and select the starting chart type-organization chart, and click the “OK” button to create a new organization chart.

(2) Click the organizational unit toolbar button , click on the blank position in the figure to create the organization unit object (the icon is ), double-click the icon to pop up the properties window as shown in Figure 1-2.

(3) Enter the basic properties of the organizational unit in the properties window, such as the name Enter “Company”, enter the code “Company” and click the “OK” button, the name of this organizational unit will be displayed in the figure. Then follow the above method, continue to add “Personnel Department”, “Finance Department”, “R&D Center” and other departments.

(4) Click the hierarchical link toolbar button, press the left mouse button on the “Company” icon, and release the left mouse button on the “Personnel Department” icon by dragging the mouse to the “Company” icon. Link with the “Personnel Department”. At this time, double-click the “Company” icon and check the “Subordinate Organization” label. The “Personnel Department” will be listed in the “Subordinate Organization” list. Then follow the above method, link “Company” and “Finance Department”, “R&D Center”, the completed picture is shown in 1-3.
